kyc = jtbd + cjm

Use this equation to Know Your Customers (KYC) better! job-to-be-done (JTBD) + customer journey mapping (CJM).

In our current reality of WFH, how do you/we plan our efforts on "knowing our customers"?

Businesses and teams that continue to operate under current circumstances and beyond will still deal with the forever changing complexity that is the Customer. In our Service Innovation Design Training Programme, customer journey mapping (CJM) and job-to-be-done (JTBD) work in tandem to rally the point of knowing who our customer (KYC) is.

We need to anticipate events that have a low probability of occurrence but with a likely high impact on ourselves, teams, and businesses.

In this 45-minute talk, Darwin will walk you through the steps to gain skills in reading signals around us. We have to consider and consistently sharpen our acuity in distinguishing between signals and noise; building our signal logs; and, identifying emergent themes. By doing so we gain agency to anticipate these out of the blue scenario that is focusing right now in the distance.
